Kenowa Courier – 1/16/18

The Official Newsletter of the Kenowa Chapter of AMBUCS – Chartered May 28, 1957. President: Kelli Williams – Vice-President: David Hodge – Treasurer: Doug Levering Secretary: Andrea Spagnoulo – Sergeants: Rod Weersing and Nick Bakker

Today’s Meeting:

Today we focused on goal setting for next year led by Vice-President David Hodge. Highlighted areas of future effort included encouraging and improving meeting attendance, extending our social media strategy, member involvement and community involvement.

While I wouldn’t say these priorities were cast in stone, they WERE written in permanent marker on a dry erase white board which I think makes them pretty important. If you weren’t able to be there today, your input is still desired and you are encouraged to contact David ( with your ideas.

50/50 Winner:   No drawing today

Denim & Diamonds

Please, PLEASE, PLEASE share the sponsorship packages (attached) with your business contacts and please, PLEASE, PLEASE contact Beth Carroll ( to see where you might contribute some of your much needed and much appreciated time and talent toward this significant fundraiser for our club.

 It’s Not Too Late

The first drawing is coming up so now is the time to purchase your 2018 restaurant calendar. This fundraiser, done in collaboration with the Walker chapter, is structured so that there is a daily weekday drawing for a gift card to one of several sponsoring restaurants. To be in the drawing, participants buy a $20 calendar with the entry application. There are 260 chances to win a gift card of at least $20. We are asking each member to buy a calendar, sell calendars to others, or buy several to give away as thank you gifts for your business. Kelli Williams has the calendars.
